Hi, I'm LeAnn Lind, and I'm very happy to be teaching fifth graders at Ascent Academy this year!  This will be my 11th year of teaching. I have taught 5th grade for 7 years, and I have taught 1st and 2nd grade, and I was a Music Specialist for 1 year. I taught in Provo School District, at Odyssey Charter School in American Fork, and at Lakeview Academy Charter School in Saratoga Springs. I have learned so much from the wonderful children I've taught and call it a privilege to be an educator! What a journey and rewarding experience it has been! 

I was raised in a family of 6 children in various Western states.  I graduated from high school in Idaho Falls, Idaho, attended Ricks College (BYU-I), and BYU where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education in 1993.  I also served a mission for the LDS Church to Dallas, Texas.  After marriage, I became the mom to 5 wonderful children.  My 4 older children (1 is married and 3 are working/going to college) are grown and my youngest attends Westlake High School. In 2015 I married a wonderful man, Bretton Lind, and between us, we are the parents of 12 children and 5 grandchildren!  We stay busy having fun hiking, swimming, traveling, and playing games.  I also enjoy gardening, organizing, playing the piano, singing, homemaking, and trying new sports and activities with our blended family.  I look forward to a wonderful year and I am so glad to be here at Ascent Academy!
