Hello, my name is Michele De La Loza. I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin. After graduating from high school I attended Rick’s College, BYU-Idaho, and graduated with my Associates Degree. After graduation from Rick’s I served an LDS mission in Salt Lake City on Temple Square. In the past twenty-two years I have lived in North Carolina and New York, but Utah has been my home.

I attended UVU and graduated with my Bachelors Degree in Behavioral Science with an emphasis in Social Work.. I graduated from the University of Phoenix in 2011 and received my elementary education degree in June of the same year.

In my spare time I love to read, travel, spend time on my deck barbecuing, hanging out with my family, and dreaming about the adventures that await me. This will be my 11th year teaching and my first year at Ascent Academy.  I hope to instill in my students a love for learning, much like that which was instilled in me by my elementary school teachers. I want my students to learn the importance of education and how it can change their lives.
