My name is Lori Brain and I’m thrilled to be a third-grade teacher at Ascent Academy. My husband and I have two children, a high school senior and a college sophomore, plus one very hairy adopted lab mix named Shiloh. We moved to Utah from Florida six years ago, but we still pinch ourselves when we look at our beautiful, snow-capped Wasatch mountains. I enjoy reading, going for long walks, and exploring national parks with my family.

I have a BA in Public Relations from Florida Southern College and a Masters in Elementary Education from Western Governors University. My goal is to create a warm and welcoming environment where students are equipped to take one more step on their journey to becoming lifelong learners. It’s going to be a great year!
