Second Grade

Hello! My name is Emily Buttars. I have been an Elementary Education teacher for the past thirteen years. I’m so excited to be joining the 2nd grade team at Ascent Academy. I’ve been teaching 2nd grade for the past five years at a local Charter School.  I love to teach and have found teaching children to be a very enjoyable and rewarding career. 
 
My family has lived here in Eagle Mountain for over fifteen years now. My husband, Ryan and I, have three kids. Hannah, Abigail, Isaac, and our adorable puppy, Ollie. We enjoy spending time together as a family. We love to go hiking, camping, swimming, and playing card games. 
 
It is my goal to make sure that each child has a positive and enjoyable time in school. I know that it takes teachers and parents working together to create a successful school year. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your child’s life and education.
