Hi, I am Mrs. Slavens! I have taught kindergarten and first grade, but I am so excited to be back in kindergarten! I love how curious and enthusiastic they are about learning! They are so sweet and fun to be around and we will have tons of fun while learning so many new things! 

 

I graduated and received my teaching license from Southern Virginia University. I have lived in 6 different states and I am also well traveled. I have been married to my amazing and supportive husband for about 2 and half years now! My hobbies include singing, zumba, and playing with my puppy, Tebow. I am grateful for this opportunity to teach at Ascent this year and I can't wait for this upcoming school year!
