My name is Chase McCool and I am the first grade teacher at our new Ascent Academy Saratoga Springs. I am also a recent graduate of Indiana University. This past year I have taught in both first grade and 4-6th grade classrooms, both general education and special education settings. Right before teaching this past year, I served as a Fellow Teacher in a Charter School in Manhattan and learned how to tailor instruction to meet the individual needs of each student. I am absolutely in love with my work, especially when it involves kiddos, but would say my sweet spot is first grade. I love the passion this age group has for learning, and the opportunity I have to see them grow into little versions of themselves.

Over the last four years, I have been quite the traveler as I have lived in Denver, Manhattan, Uganda, Africa and Indiana. While I have learned to love new experiences and opportunities of growth, I am ready to settle into our community here in Saratoga Springs!
